In a second job for WW Martin, also Margate, Scotts designer Macauley Morton worked on a complicated apartment block.
“The supplier who had originally secured the order hadn’t priced the apartments with a truss solution as it was drawn hand cut with steels etc., so the buyer came back to us and requested we have a look to see what could be achieved. We managed to remove a large majority of steel beams and come up with a truss design, which won us the work.”
Dane Valley Arms, Margate is a development of a four-storey building housing seven 1-bedroom and six 2-bedroom flats, along with four 3-bedroom semi-detached houses.
