Introducing David Hunt
We’re really pleased to welcome David Hunt to Scotts Timber Engineering as Business Development Manager.
With 25 years sector experience, David really does know the industry inside out and shares our love for all things timber.
A carpenter by trade, David moved into timber frame installations for a South West based manufacturer, later moving into a contracts management role before taking over as production manager. Design and Sales were his next step, so he joins us with comprehensive knowledge and expertise – fitting right in with our experienced team.
“Working in timber and timber frame for so long, I’ve seen a lot of changes. But while the sector keeps evolving, some things are constant – the people and the ambition,” David explains. “I love working in the sector and have built a lot of strong relationships with some great people over the years – we all share the same ambition, to build high quality houses that people want to live in and spend their lives in.”
David’s affinity with timber actually goes back two generations to his grandfather, who was a joiner. In his new role at Scotts, he has the opportunity to make sure that housebuilders get a high quality product every time. “Price will always matter, but for Scotts customers, service is the key differentiator – and we deliver what we promise.”
An Arsenal fan, David lives in Saffron Walden with his wife and two adult children as well as with Bella, a cockapoo.
