The Scotts Timber Frame Experience
One of the questions we get asked about buying timber frame from Scotts Timber Engineering is about what the process looks like.
One of the reasons why timber frame construction is very much quicker than traditional build is because the majority of the actual construction takes place in a quality controlled factory.
For a traditional timber engineering business like Scotts, the actual manufacturing part of the process is a simple extension of our trusses, joists and panels production operation.
However, there are a few more steps in the upfront process to make sure your designs and manufactured panels are exactly as required to make installation as quick and painless as it should be.
After frozen drawings are provided for detailed checks against priced up drawings and specifications, before structural engineering undertake load and line point appraisals. Only when every single aspect is double checked and approved are the designs signed off so we can move into manufacturing and issuing construction drawings. The process is explained in this diagram.
