In another project for Hill Partnerships Ltd, we’re supplying posi joists to the second phase of their High Path Estate Regeneration development.

Our designers had to accommodate all ventilation ductwork for the MVHR units across the first and second floors as well as for the roof posi joists. We worked closely with their engineer at pre-design stage to understand ducting routes and specification required for joist depths as well as the overall design intent of the floors.

The Hill Group is the appointed construction partner for Clarion Housing Group’s massive £1.3bn The massive High Path Estate regeneration project in South Wimbledon, London is an ongoing multi-year scheme designed to transform the area into a greener, highly sustainable community.

As we start to move into a world where the Future Homes Standard (FHS) is at play, stricter airtightness requirements mean that mechanical ventilation effectively becomes a necessity to maintain healthy indoor air quality and prevent condensation. And while the FHS notional dwelling specifies continuous dMEV rather than MVHR, many housebuilders are upgrading to MVHR because it captures and recycles heat from exhausted stale air, helping builders offset the higher energy demands of the modern, highly insulated builds.
