WW Martin – Affordable Housing in Ashford

In an additional project for long-term client WW Martin, our design team has been working on a combined truss and posi-joist order for a new affordable housing development in Mabeldon Avenue, Ashford, Kent for Ashford Borough Council

Designs had to accommodate all ventilation ductwork for the MVHR units across first/second floor and roof posi joists – a complex design job to ensure our designs worked with ducting routes.

The project will deliver 20 high-quality homes, comprising six apartments and fourteen houses, supporting the Council’s ongoing commitment to increasing the supply of affordable housing across the borough and making effective use of previously developed land.

The scheme has been designed to create a welcoming neighbourhood, centred around communal spaces and landscaped areas, while placing a strong emphasis on sustainability.

The development is targeting an EPC A rating and will incorporate a range of low-carbon technologies, including ground source heat pumps, solar PV, SuDS, MVHR and electric vehicle charging points.
